Lip Blush

Lip Blush myths: colour, comfort and realistic expectations

Lip Blush attracts some very definite claims: it replaces lipstick, it is painless, it suits everyone or it makes lips fuller. A useful decision starts by separating colour and definition from promises the treatment cannot simply answer.

At CT, Lip Blush is also called Lip Tattoo. Discuss the colour you like, what you want to change and the early appearance—not just an image of someone else's lips.

Myth 1: Lip Blush makes lips physically fuller

Lip Blush concerns colour and definition. A more noticeable boundary can change how lips look in a photograph, but it does not add physical volume. If fullness is your goal, a colour treatment answers a different question.

Myth 2: it is exactly like permanent lipstick

Lipstick can be changed or removed; Lip Blush involves treatment, healing, care and later maintenance. A favourite lipstick helps explain a colour preference, but its gloss, texture and opacity are separate from tattoo colour.

For example, you may enjoy a berry lipstick but find the opaque version too strong for everyday wear. Explain that distinction rather than asking for a tattoo identical to a swatch. Lip Blush and lipstick compared explores the two choices.

Myth 3: numbing means there is no sensation

Numbing cream is used, but sensation varies. Ask about comfort before treatment rather than relying on a pain-free description.

If sensation is the reason you are hesitating, Nanna can discuss it at Consultation. A small sensation demonstration after numbing cream may be offered. It is a way to explore the concern, not a prediction of every moment of treatment.

Myth 4: the first few days show the settled colour

Lips can have mild swelling or dryness early on, and the colour changes during healing. The visible early period is commonly five to seven days; that is not a deadline for every part of healing or a promise of the final shade.

Follow lip aftercare and bring colour or coverage questions to the included five-week touch-up. For the appointment arrangements and next step, read Lip Blush.

Myth 5: one “natural” shade suits everyone

A colour that looks quiet on one person's lips may be more noticeable on another. Explain how much contrast you enjoy and whether you want to keep wearing different lipsticks later. The word “natural” alone is not a colour brief.

If another practitioner has already tattooed your lips, Nanna needs Consultation and assessment before agreeing to treatment.
